The Bibliothèque de l'Institut National d'Histoire de l'Art, collections Jacques Doucet Corpus Estampes says that this volume is a continuation "...of a collection of illustrated kyōka (crazy poems), the Sansui kikan kyōka-shū; The plates (especially landscapes in the Chinese style) are reproduced without the poems..."

This illustration first appeared in 1820, although the date does not appear. The 1823 edition was published by Gasendo.
