Chicago Art Institute (similar non-shunga version) - gift of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Michener
As a young man helps his courtesan down from riding a horse, his eye is drawn to her open kimono. Mt. Fuji in the distance.
There is a similar vertical diptych listed in Pins, #325, with a copy in the Art Institute in Chicago. In that one a large moon dominates the partially clouded night sky. Both that version and the one here carry the 'abbreviated' Koryūsai signature - Koryū-ga. Theirs is dated ca. 1775.
