Lyon Collection - biographical information about the carver and printer Morinoue Hiroki Kwanin, Kannon, Kwannon, Guanyin, Guan Yin or Avalokitesvera is an East Asian bodhisattva associated with compassion as venerated by Mahayana Buddhists. She is commonly known as the "Goddess of Mercy" in English.

Notice the two gray and white areas above and behind the Kannon: are they birds? or clouds? Or both? Perhaps they can be what you want them to be.

Also, we have noticed that sometimes Oda Mayumi includes the lobules, a part of the breast, which appear around the nipple and the areola. Sometimes they don't in earlier prints. We have added a jpeg of a print of Mother Wisdom from 2010 from the collection of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, just for comparison.
