We do not know anything about this artist yet, but there prints by him from the Edo period in the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
The dates for this artist are all over the place, but this may be due to a confusion with other similar names. A Russian website gives his dates as 1817-89. The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston give his dates as 1817-97.
One blogger writing in 2020 about an exhibition of ghost paintings gave his dates as 1840-1910. The paintings are owned by the Zenshoan Temple and included a version of the Banshu Sarayashiki (皿屋敷) by Ayaoka.
