Biography:

This actor took the name Yonezō sometime between 1844 and 1848. He held that name until the eighth month of 1866.

The biographical information about this artist has been extremely difficult to sort out. The National Theater of Japan site refers to him as Yonezō II. In other places he is called Yonezō III. And in yet another credible source he is Yonezō IV. We will provide the information about his life if we can ever figure out just exactly who he was.
