Biography:
Edo publisher (Marks 168). Artists published by this house include Eisen, Kunikane, Kunisada, Kuniyoshi, Shuntei, Toyokuni I and Yoshitora.
Shuntei is the only artist in the Lyon Collection who was published by this house. We have highlighted his name in bold type.
This house operated from ca. 1806 to the 1830s according to Marks, but there is a Kuniyoshi print in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston dated to 1850.
