Biography:

This actor took the name Metora in 3/1865 and held it until his death in Tokyo on May 8, 1879. He had been adopted by Ichikawa Monnosuke V (五代目市川門之助) and was given the name Ichikawa Seikichi.

He appeared in prints designed by Kunichika and Chikashige. Publishers included Tamura Tetsujirō and Ōmiya Kyūjirō.
